Tony Romo reportedly expects to be released, not traded

Romo lost his starting spot in Dallas when rookie Dak Prescott stepped in and led the team to a 14-2 regular season record. Prescott was efficient while proving to be a threat through the air and on the ground.

Rumors have been swirling for the better part of three months now wondering where Romo would end up next season. Most thought it was a foregone conclusion that Romo would be traded — likely to Denver — but it appears Dallas feels it might not get much in return.

There are a number of NFL teams in need of a quarterback, so if Romo is indeed released, he Cheap Game Jerseys should have no problem finding a new opportunity.

Okung struggled especially in pass protection, ranking 48th among 74 qualifying left tackles, and the Broncos offensive line as a group was rated 24th by ProFootballFocus.

Fox Sports noted that Okung, who negotiated his own contract with the Broncos, ended up securing only $5 million in guaranteed money from what had been a five-year, $53 million deal by giving the Broncos a team option in Year 2. By declining the option, the Broncos take no salary-cap hit for 2017.

Still, the Broncos might look to retain Okung, 29, though other tackle-needy teams may look at him, given a relatively thin free-agent market.

The Broncos, meanwhile, must look to fortify their offensive line from the outside in because not only was Okung frequently a liability but so too were right tackles Donald Stephenson and Ty Sambrailo.
